This policy covers your use of Stocks & Buckets. It doesn't extend to other websites we link to — check their policies before sharing data with them.

Email address — when you join our list, so we can send you our takes and product updates.

Usage data — standard, mostly automatic information like pages visited, referring site, device/browser, and approximate location (from your IP), to understand and improve the site.

Payment information — if and when you buy a subscription, payment is handled by our payment processor (e.g. Stripe). We don't see or store your full card details.

To send the newsletter and updates you signed up for, to operate, secure, and improve Stocks & Buckets, to provide paid features if you subscribe, and to respond to you. We don't sell your personal information, and we won't send unsolicited spam.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (the newsletter), our legitimate interests (running, securing, and improving the site), and performance of a contract (paid subscriptions). You can withdraw consent at any time.

We use only the cookies needed to run the site, plus analytics cookies if enabled (e.g. a privacy-friendly analytics tool or Google Analytics) to see how the site is used. Where required, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Service providers that help us run the Service may process your data on our behalf — our email provider (Kit/ConvertKit), hosting/CDN (Cloudflare), our payment processor, and any analytics provider — each under its own policy.

We may share aggregated, anonymized statistics that don't identify you. We may also disclose data if legally required (e.g. a court order), or transfer it as part of a business sale or merger — in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, though, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed (or as needed for the purposes above), and remove it on request or unsubscribe.

You can unsubscribe from emails anytime via the link in any message. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your data, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. Email us to exercise any of these.

Stocks & Buckets is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
