What the depth charts does

A depth chart that just lists names tells you nothing about minutes — and minutes are fantasy value. Ours allocates each team's actual 240 minutes per game across the players genuinely available, with injuries, roster moves, and role changes baked in as they happen.

That constraint matters: when a starter goes down, his minutes don't vanish, they flow — and a rotation that must sum to 240 shows you exactly who catches them.

How it works

  • Pick any NBA team to see its projected rotation, position by position.
  • Minutes are allocated to a hard 240-per-game budget, so every injury has a visible beneficiary.
  • Rotations update through the season as news, trades, and role changes land.

Frequently asked questions

How are the minutes projected?

Each team's rotation is allocated against the real constraint — 240 minutes per game — using roles, health, and depth. When availability changes, the freed minutes are redistributed to the players positioned to absorb them.

How current are the depth charts?

They update through the season as injuries, trades, and rotation news land — the same event-driven view the rest of the engine runs on.

The depth charts is free with an account — powered by the same projection engine as our rankings, and built to give you a view, not just numbers.
