Ignore his worst category (rebounds) and he's worth 4.94.
Still a true No. 1, and still a top-five season — but read the room he is in now. Philadelphia added Jaylen Brown in July and LeBron in late July, and his career-high 28.3 was posted in a season where Embiid and Paul George between them managed 75 appearances. He was the alpha by necessity, not by design. We fade him a shade to 27-4-6.5 rather than a full haircut, because our own arrival research says high-usage incumbents mostly do not compress, and because minutes at the top of a rotation are sticky: 37 a night, barely moved. The shape is unchanged and lovely — scoring, threes, nearly two steals, a pristine .88 line, with a so-so FG% and thin boards. We bank 71 games.
Tyrese Maxey enters 2026-27 at #5 on our board — Round 1 value in a standard 12-team draft, projected for 27.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists in 37.0 minutes a night. The value is built on scoring and steals, with rebounds the soft spot in the profile. He's a natural fit for punt-rebounds builds — take that category out of the equation and his value climbs. Availability helps the case: we project about 71 games.
